On 4th April 2009, Mr. Nobuo Tanaka, IEA Executive Director, came to Dijon to give lecture at the Regional Council of Burgundy to local authorities and top managers belonging to nuclear industry. Mr. Mazunder, India Nuclear Attaché in France was also attending. They were all especially gathered to mark the official launch of International Nuclear Academy. This outstanding project is an initiative of the French nuclear industry cluster (Burgundy Nuclear Partnership). It aims to provide the market wit highly skilled nuclear engineers and managers through CPD training (Continuous Professional Development training).
The location of the Academy in Chalon-sur-Saône was chosen to capitalize on the outstanding assets of the Burgundy area which is known as the heart of the French nuclear supply chain.
