Ahead of the new nuclear build to proceed in the UK, a team of more than 20 delegates from the Nuclear Industry Association (NIA), the British trade association and information body for the UK civil nuclear industry, met with the Burgundy Nuclear Partnership (PNB) on 15^th and 16^th June 2009. The British companies included AMEC, ATKINS, BABCOCK, DOOSAN BABCOCK ENERGY, PARSONS BRINCKERHOFF, ROLLS&ROYCE, THOMPSON VALVES, UKAEA, and WESTINGHOUSE. Overall the visit proved to be very successful, fulfilling its objectives and providing opportunity for delegates to network with companies operating in the international nuclear industry. During 3 days, British delegates had the opportunity to gauge the attractiveness of the Burgundy nuclear cluster by visiting top facilities and laboratories at the forefront of nuclear technology.
